Project Design: Early Mock-ups

Project Design: Early Mock-ups

Nov 10, 2018

I’ve started planning for the 50 Shades of Green installation in August 2018 and, as usual, I’ve designed a few sketches of the artwork. I always do it, even when I work on monochromatic works but, in this case, I really wanted to have a visual of the chromatic impact of 50 Shades of Green. Also, since I’ve been pitching sponsors and technical partners, I needed to have some draft image to show around.

This is how and why the first draft of the installation saw the light by the end of August, but I knew that it was far from the final version of the installation. Also, this project website has been launched in December 2018 so, at the time of writing this blog article, it is already clear that the artwork currently under production is different from what pictured months ago with the first draft. There is an entire blog post dedicated to the new design, and I invite you to go read it while, on this post, I am sharing only the first draft designs.

I’m using “designs” in plural, as there were two different versions of the installation sketched at first, with the second version way wider then the first, actually double in width. Enjoy the graphics, and keep reading to figure out more details of the 50 Shades of Green project.
